This new body of work is based on the artist’s personal experiences with grief, loss, and anxiety in a time of political and climate turmoil. The artist contextualizes these issues through the lens of their own identity as a masculine-bodied queer person. Through bold color and keen graphic sensibilities, Lunsford explores the mythology of the creative process and the joys and challenges of living in a turbulent world.
